Ohio Northern University student Travis Yammine, a junior marketing major from Findlay, Ohio, was a member of the winning team at the Team Case Competition at Beta Gamma Sigma’s (BGS) recent 2017 Global Leadership Summit in Orlando, Fla. The team was selected based on the students’ innovative and creative solution for their assigned business case, as well as the effectiveness of their presentation.
“The team case competition allowed 35 teams of business students to collaborate and provide a solution to a complex business scenario. Each of the teams presented to a panel of judges, and the five category winning teams showcased their business solutions to the full group of summit attendees,” said Cigdem Kochan, Ph.D., assistant professor in the Dicke College of Business Administration at Ohio Northern University and the faculty advisor for ONU’s BGS chapter.
Beta Gamma Sigma is an international business honor society with highly selective membership. Yammine was selected on the basis of his academic credentials.
“The competition helps students take their leadership skills to the next level with real-world insight, hands-on experience and networking with thought leaders from around the world,” Kochan said.
