‘Launchpad’ for startups

Launchpad, the annual entrepreneurship summit of BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus, kicked off on Sunday promising to be a grand confluence of various domains of start-up ecosystem.

IT Secretary Jayesh Ranjan talked about the current start-up scenario and challenges faced by young entrepreneurs and how the Telangana government is coming up with inspiring initiatives like T-Hub to promote the entrepreneurship culture.

Founder CEO of online retail company, Hari Menon shared his experience of starting an enterprise, and sustaining it amid stiff competition.

The final round pitches of Beyond Profit and Ground Reality gave participants an excellent opportunity to showcase their business ideas aimed at tackling social challenges.

The participants vied with each other for a reward amounting to Rs. 7 lakh. The event was organised by BITS Pilani Hyderabad Campus’s E-Cell, a student body involved in promoting entrepreneurship culture.
