WINNERS have emerged at this year’s RCCG’s Shift which held at the University of Lagos Sports Centre on Tuesday.
The annual programme which focuses on Youths and talents from dance, music and public speaking had over 6,000 youths in attendance.
The winner, King Ojemba carted home one million naira while the two runners up won 200,000 naira each.
The event which had a massive turn out compared to previous seasons had popular comedian Woli Agba and renowned speaker Fela Durotoye in attendance.
“This is almost times six of the last attendance. It is a student environment. The RCF of Redeemed church is here and of course I have met one or two students here, it is an eye opener that this church is giving a platform to every young person to express their God’s given talents. This is purely the church CSR church based and all contestants registered free”, said Pastor Jacob Obaru, National Cordinator Shift Project
The National Overseer Pastor Joshua Obayemi expressed satisfaction at the turnout the program enjoyed. He said; ”I was impressed with the attendance, I was impressed about the improvements when compared with the previous ones and I could see that we are progressing.
“Lord Jesus Christ himself who gives resources and wisdom to actualize vision. If these things are of God it will stand but if not it will crumble but because it is of God it will ever stand and be progressing.” National general overseer
Obayemi however advised the winners to remain focused on using their talents for the work of God
“I will tell them to remain focus and continue to abide in the word of God and whatever material given to them today be a motivator that will make them serve God the more, not to desert them and not to make them backslide”
